The Mason Community Players are preparing for the first full musical in their new home at 5529 Mason Rd. in Mason, OH. The Mason Community Playhouse has become a reflection of the group’s energy and perseverance. In addition to producing the show You Have the Right to Remain Dead (which went up in May), renovations and work have continued and the group has even started working on their next show.
Mason Community Players is excited to present a unique experience this July, Nunsense and its partner show Nunsense A-men. What happens when a small convent of Nuns needs to raise funds quickly? Why do they need to raise funds? What does a freezer have to do with their problems? Find out as the Little Sisters of Hoboken present Nunsense. The excitement doesn’t stop there… What happens when the nuns miss the show? As the old adage says, “The show must go on!” Make sure you watch as the Stage Crew fills in for the nuns. It’s the same show, but with a hilarious twist as the men pick up a new “habit” in Nunsense A-men.
These alternating shows are produced by Susan Berger and Paula Fultz, with direction by Jay Fultz and Lara Gonzalez. This crazy and unique experience will be brought to you with musical direction by Pete Padolik and choreography by Abby Farmer. A special double header performance will be on July 23rd with Nunsense at 3pm and Nunsense A-men at 8 p.m. Stand alone Nunsense performances will be July 15 & 16 at 8:00 p.m., and July 17 at 3:00 p.m. Nunsense A-Men performances will be July 21, 22, and July 24 at 3 p.m.
